Updates 18.05.2026

Hello,

We have a few updates to share with you from Journal de Folie.

Issue Three submissions are now open.
The theme for this issue is Betrayal, and submissions sent in today (18.05.2026) will be free.

You can submit through the Submissions tab on our website. If using the form today, simply select “I have paid” and continue. You are also welcome to email your submission directly to us.

We also wanted to properly introduce you to the World of Folie our member space, which is currently operating on a pay-what-you-can model.

This space was created to extend beyond the journal itself and build a wider literary and creative community. Inside the member site, you can currently find:

• Folie Columns: reflective essays, cultural commentary, and personal writing from our columnists

• Film Club: weekly film selections, reviews, and open discussion

• Book Club: one monthly read, with a full review and conversation at the end of the month

• Digital journal content: access to issues, previews, and publication updates

• Behind-the-scenes updates: notes on submissions, issue development, and what we’re building next

• Community discussion spaces: places to share thoughts, recommendations, and responses

The aim is to create a space for people who want to read more deeply, engage with independent writing, support emerging voices, and be part of the journal as it grows.

You are welcome to join for free, or contribute what you can if you’d like to support the continued development of the journal, contributor payments, and future projects.
